Snapshot
A record of wallet balances or activity taken at a fixed moment to decide airdrop eligibility.
A snapshot is a point-in-time record of the blockchain that a project uses to decide who qualifies for an airdrop. If you meet the criteria at the snapshot block, you are eligible, even if you move funds afterward.
Snapshots are often not announced in advance, precisely so people cannot game them at the last minute. That is why sustained, genuine activity tends to matter more than a rushed final transaction.
