Testnet

A test version of a blockchain used to try features without real funds.

A testnet is a separate network that mirrors a blockchain but uses valueless test tokens. Developers and users try transactions, contracts, and apps there before anything goes live.

Some projects reward testnet participation with a later airdrop on the real network. Test tokens themselves have no monetary value.
