Gas fee
The cost paid to a network to process a transaction.
A gas fee is what you pay to have the network validate and include your transaction. It goes to the network, not to the app you are using.
Fees rise when the network is busy and fall when it is quiet. On Ethereum, gas is measured in gwei. Layer-2 networks generally charge much lower fees than the main chain.
