Bridge
A tool that moves assets or messages between two different blockchains.
A bridge lets you move value from one chain to another, for example from Ethereum to a layer-2. Bridging usually costs a gas fee on one or both sides.
Bridges have historically been a target for large exploits, so using well-established bridges and moving small amounts first is a common precaution.
